Here’s a quick update of what’s happened-
Well, I had no school on Friday because of the snow and it snowed from about 1:00 on Friday off and on until about 12:00 today. I went outside and it was so fun. I have a test and a quiz tomorrow, but I’m not worried because they shouldn’t be hard. 4 days until Christmas and I’m really excited. But remember, it’s not all about the presents, it’s about spending time with family, giving, and (if your Catholic) Jesus being born.
Remember these things before you open up your presents.
Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas! Happy Kwanzaa! And have a Happy New Year!

This morning when I went into school it was SNOWING! I hope it snows some more so I can go outside and make a snowman or have a snowball fight.
Think about this for a minute.
On one side of the world it could be snowing and on the other side it could be sunny. But with our technology we find our way around it. We can send an email and in an instant the email can go from the snow to the sun. You could be freezing and talking to someone who is sweating and trying to turn the AC on. The weather changes but our communication stays. The only thing that could affect it is if a storm causes a blackout. Even then, we have our cell phones, or we can unplug our laptops.

So next time you see a snowflake or take a dive in your pool, think about how on the other side of the world there is someone that is in opposite weather and with the press of a 10 digit phone number, you could talk to them.

Dear Mr. President,
Congratulations on winning the election! Even though I don’t agree with a few of your views on different issues, I look forward to seeing you in office in January. I know you are going to be a great president.
I am writing because I feel that there is a major issue you should focus on when you enter office. The war in Iraq is an important matter and we need to deal with it as soon as possible. Then we can worry about some other issues that are of less importance. If we do something about the war, we can then help the economy. With a better economy, we can work towards helping the environment and getting better education.
The war in Iraq is a major issue. I have done some research and found that it is costing us over $3,000 a second! Also, many people have died. We need to do something about it. I know that you think we should end the war but I feel differently. I think we should continue fighting. I don’t think we should’ve gone to war in the first place but we’re there now, so we need to finish what we started. If we end the war then we will have wasted all that money, and all those people who have died, will have died for nothing.
However, if you feel that we should withdraw the troops, then that is the first thing you should do. If you are going to withdraw them, then do it right away because we don’t need to waste any more money than we already have. We don’t need anyone else dying if you’re going to end it anyway. Besides, if we withdraw them right away then we can save some money for better education, helping the environment, and many other issues.
Thank you for spending the time to read this. I really appreciate that you would listen to what I have to say. Again, congratulations on winning the election.
Sincerely,
Megan

I read this post about following your dream and it really made me think. I thought about my dreams. It made me think- no dream is too large and no act of kindness is too small. You can dream big, but it takes small acts to get there.
Read this post and think about it.
